ShoreTel Celebrates Another Successful Year in ANZ
22 December, 2015
Two weeks ago, 60 of our partners from across Australia and New Zealand were invited to the picturesque Lavender Bay in Sydney for an update on ShoreTel’s regional and global strategy. The event featured presentations from ShoreTel CMO Mark Roberts, and our Asia-Pacific VP and MD Frédéric Gillant.
Mark spoke about ShoreTel’s vision, the changing dynamics of IT and the CIO’s role in the business. He also talked about the positive responses we’ve received from customers, partners and the analyst community around ShoreTel Connect. He was bullish about the opportunities for mid-market adoption of ShoreTel Connect ONSITE, CLOUD and HYBRID solutions in ANZ, and how geographic expansion is key to ShoreTel’s business strategy.
Frédéric reinforced Mark’s views, stating that his number one priority for the APAC region next year is to bring cloud UC to ANZ, and that we will be bringing our partners on the journey to cloud with us.
A highlight of the event for me was the opportunity to present our inaugural ANZ partner awards. We’ve had a great year in ANZ in 2015, and it was largely thanks to the efforts of our ShoreTel partners that made it so successful.
We recognized Flexnet for the First ShoreTel Connect Sale in APAC with its success with Brimbank City Council in Melbourne.
One Solution was presented with the Rising Star award: a partner that has shown its long-term commitment to ShoreTel by investing in training and certification, and building its ShoreTel capabilities and business opportunities across Australia.
We awarded Telstra Global Enterprise Services with the Highest Revenue trophy; and Hewlett Packard Enterprise with the Largest Deal of the Year award for The Salvation Army.
Finally, Aerus Technologies achieved Most Wins in a Single Vertical, for its work with the local government sector in Tasmania, and long-term partner Reliance Communications was awarded Largest Year-on-Year Growth.
We also presented individual awards for our ‘Great Rewards’ sales incentive program with Dicker Data in Australia, which we ran from August to November 2015. Our top performing channel salespeople at the end of the competition were: Nathan Goad, One Solution; George Minucos, Reliance Communications; Greg Williams, Flexnet; Tony Warhurst, CPS Technology Group; and Adrian Duggan, Nuteck Communications.
After the event, we headed upstairs for Christmas drinks. This gave us the opportunity to celebrate the year in style with so many of our partners from interstate and overseas in the one place.
What a way to end the year, with the people from ShoreTel and our partners who have made all the difference for us in Australia and New Zealand.
